Meet Tallulah

Tallulah is a White domestic turkey who came from an “organic” turkey farm.  The person who saved her couldn’t keep her, and she and two other turkeys, Madison and Willow, came to live at Poplar Spring in 2014.

Even on an organic farm Tallulah and her friends were debeaked (a very cruel process which involves taking off the end of the beak without painkillers) and would have been killed at only a few months.

Here they live happily, walking around the chicken yard, and taking dust baths under the trees.

Turkeys are very friendly and intelligent and Tallulah and her friends are very curious and love to follow visitors around.  Tallulah’s favorite treats are canned corn and grapes.
