Give A Hoot Comedy Club – Saturday, February 7, 2026 – 8:00 p.m.   Sharon Simon will be performing live as a benefit for Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary. Sharon Simon has audiences howling with laughter with her sometimes edgy, always hysterical comedy. She loves the crowd, and no two shows are exactly alike. She has been on SNL, Comedy Central’s The Roast of Patrice O’Neil, and is a Featured host of the NYC Pride Parade. She headlines all over the country, and calls New York City home, where she is a regular at major clubs. In good times and bad, Simon Says Laugh, and you will. A full La Mexicana food and drink menu is available at the club.

Poplar Spring Run for the Animals – Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary’s 23rd annual “Run for the Animals!” will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The 5K run and 1 or 1.7 mile fun walk is a fundraiser dedicated to supporting the life-saving work Poplar Spring does everyday. This years race will be held in person with a virtual option.
